Nintendo Financials (Nov. 4, 2021)

Post by Ngamer01 »

Nintendo has released their latest financial report. Sources will be linked at the bottom of this post.

Nintendo's profits are down from year-to-year, but Nintendo still believes profits will be on track to be normal as usual. Hardware forecasts are down due to part shortages, but they have forecasted software sales to increase with the delay of the Advance Wars remake. The Nintendo Switch is close to 93 million in sales, just about 10 million behind the original Wii. Switch software sales though trail the Wii's being about 250 million units behind.

Mario Kart 8 DX is now the best selling Mario Kart game ever just eeking out the previous #1, Mario Kart Wii.
Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games (as of 30th September 2021):
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 38.74 million
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 34.85 million
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 25.71 million
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 24.13 million
  • Pokémon Sword and Shield - 22.64 million
  • Super Mario Odyssey - 21.95 million
  • Super Mario Party - 16.48 million
  • Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! / Let's Go, Eevee! - 13.83 million
  • Splatoon 2 - 12.68 million
  • Ring Fit Adventure - 12.21 million
There was no change in the upcoming releases schedule outside the Advance Wars remake delay. For sales on previous generations, the only thing of note is that Wii, DS, Wii U, and 3DS Pokemon games continue to sell even after all this time.
